How to Brew a Deliciously Frothy Cup of Kava Calm Coconut Chai

There’s nothing quite like a spicy, sweet, and soothing cup of Kava Calm Coconut Chai to melt away the stress of the day. With our unique blend of kava kava root, ashwagandha, coconut, and warming chai spices, this tea will whisk you away to exotic, tropical beaches, where the air is sweet, and the breeze warms your bones. A pinch of black tea keeps your mind alert, while the kava and ashwagandha gently ease tension, making this the perfect tea for afternoon bliss.

Here’s how to brew a frothy, warming pot of Kava Calm Coconut Chai on the stove - our preferred method as brewing the tea and then the milk together in one pot really blends all the flavors nicely.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of Kava Calm Coconut Chai loose leaf tea
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1–2 cups of milk or milk alternative (coconut milk or oat milk recommended)
  • Sweetener of choice (optional) – honey, maple syrup, or agave
  • A frother (optional, but fun!)

Directions:

  1. Simmer the tea:

Add 4 cups of water to a pot and bring it to a gentle boil.

  2. Once boiling, add 2 tablespoons of Kava Calm Coconut Chai and reduce the heat to a low simmer.

  3. Let the tea simmer gently for 10–15 minutes. This longer simmering time allows the adaptogenic Ashwagandha, Kava, and chai spices to fully release their flavors and benefits, creating a rich and soothing brew.

  4. Heat the milk:

After the tea has simmered for 10-15 minutes, gently add 1–2 cups of milk (or your favorite milk alternative) to the pot. Stir slowly and gently, amd be sure not to boil the milk—just warm it until it’s steamy.

  5. Sweeten (optional):

Stir in a sweetener of your choice—honey, maple syrup, or date syrup—directly into the milk as it heats, if desired.

  6. Strain the tea:

Once you've added the milk and the tea is at a slight simmer, remove from heat and strain the tea into your favorite teapot or directly into mugs.

  7. Froth the milk:

To make your chai extra frothy, use a frother to whip up the warmed milk. If you don’t have a frother, whisk the milk vigorously by hand to create a light foam.

  8. Combine & Serve:

Slowly pour the warm, frothy milk into your strained chai tea, stirring gently to combine.

  9. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg for an extra spice kick.

  10. Sip & Enjoy:

Take a deep breath, settle in, and enjoy the grounding, soothing flavors of Kava Calm Coconut Chai. Perfect for those quiet moments when you need a little calm and warmth.
