This listing is for one Jiaogulan (Gynostemma Pentaphyllum) live plant rotted in a 3 ½ inch pot. Our plants are always 100% organic.

NOTE: Live plants are shipped via priority mail on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed after 12pm Tuesday will be shipped the following Monday. This is to ensure the safest travel experience for your plant!

Jiaogulan, also known as Gynostemma Pentaphyllum, Immortality Herb, Southern Ginseng, and Sweet Tea Vine, is a plant that grows wild in parts of Asia.

The sweet leaves of Gynostemma are harvested for tea. May be used fresh or dried.
Considered a powerful adaptogen, Jiaogulan is rated among the ten most important tonic herbs in China. We suggest doing a bit of research on this plant’s amazing medicinal properties and its uses in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Gynostemma contains amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, including selenium, magnesium, zinc, calcium, iron, potassium, manganese & phosphorus.


Water Requirements:
Requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between waterings

Sun Exposure:
Prefers dappled shade - in its native environment, it grows in the forest understory. Needs support to climb.

Shipping

Live Plants are shipped to the domestic US only.

  • Live plant orders ship on Mondays via USPS Priority Mail. This ensures your plant will not sit in a hot truck or warehouse over the weekend. Orders for live plants placed after 11pm Sunday may not ship until the following week. Please note shipping estimates before you place your order. 

Before You Order Live Plants

  • Check your weather - we recommend that you do not order during extended cold or hot weather. We can not be responsible for plants that are damaged due to weather.
  • You are responsible for following your state laws re: the shipment of live plants. Please make sure it is legal to accept plants via USPS in your location.

Your satisfaction is our highest priority. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Carriers

We use the following carriers to deliver our orders:

  • USPS - our preferred carrier. Most orders are shipped USPS
  • UPS
  • DHL

Order Tracking

When a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using 1st Class USPS mail will not have tracking numbers.

Shipping Rates

Our preferred carrier is USPS Priority Mail for live plants.

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of the products ordered and your location. Before the final checkout, you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.

Back Orders

If an item goes on back order we will let you know immediately. We generally will ship the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

30 Day Happy Plant Guarantee: We promise your plant will arrive healthy, happy, and ready to thrive. Sometimes, plants get damaged during shipping. If your plant arrives dead or damaged, we'll replace it within 30 days of your order. If your specific plant is out of stock, we'll offer a replacement or a refund.

If your plant arrives damaged: 

  1. Snap a photo of the plant and box.
  2. Email us at support@leehouse.co with the photo within 30 days.

Plant Not Delivered?

  • Check your order tracking. All plants are shipped Priority Mail and should arrive within 3-4 business days. We only ship plants on  Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • If overdue by 5 days, contact us at support@leehouse.co. Note: We can not provide a refund or credit for incorrect delivery info at checkout.

Refunds?

  • We prefer to replace, but we'll consider refunds individually. Let us know the specific in your email.

Returns?

  • We can't accept returns of plants. We're happy to offer suggestions on how to revive a sad plant, or we recommend you compost your plant if it's too far gone.
