Get Back on Tract!  Support healthy bladder function with Bapa's Blend Organic Herbal Tea.

In the case of bladder and urinary tract system support, tea can be a great ally. Imagine drinking a warm, soothing beverage, whose ingredients offer powerful herbal actions. To me, that sounds like a relaxing bath for our hard-working urinary tract system. What a special treat to support a critical function of our bodies!

That’s why we offer Bapa’s Blend Urinary System Support Tea.

So how do the herbs in Bapa’s Blend work? Let’s take a look!

  • Cleavers (Galium aparine) enhance the function of the lymphatic system - improving our ability to flush toxins from our bodies, while decreasing congestion and reducing swelling throughout the UT system. Cleavers are also considered a soothing diuretic. Ingesting cleavers may help increase the flow of urine and are appropriate in cases where there is irritation and inflammation of the bladder. While fresh cleavers are ideal, they have a short growing span and don’t store well.

  • Horsetail (Equisetum) is a wonderful kidney tonic. Often used to assist with the removal of excess fluids,  it helps flush the urinary tract system and clear out unwanted bacterias, stones, and crystallizations. Horsetail is commonly indicated for kidney and bladder stones, urinary tract infections, the inability to control urination (incontinence), and general disturbances of the kidney and bladder. Horsetail strengthens the mucus membranes of the urinary tract so they are less susceptible to irritation. It is mildly anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, so it is a natural choice for infections or inflammatory conditions.

  • Couch grass root relieves symptoms of constipation, cough, bladder swelling (inflammation), fever, high blood pressure, and kidney stones. It is also used for fluid retention. A 2012 study found that the intake of potassium citrate and extracts of couch grass was more powerful to reduce the number and size of stones of the urinary tract in people compared to the intake of potassium citrate alone. In addition to this, extracts of couch grass have been found to help to prevent UTI-causing bacteria from adhering to bladder walls.

  • Corn silk is used for bladder infections, inflammation of the urinary system, inflammation of the prostate, kidney stones, and bedwetting. A healthy concentration of tannins, terpenoids, and alkaloids gives cornsilk antimicrobial properties that help fight off infections and soothe inflamed tissues.

  • Juniper is a powerful diuretic – a herb that increases the flow of urine, helping to cleanse the system of excess fluids and stimulating the kidneys. When our system is cleansing property, uric acid and crystals are removed as well. The build-up of these chemical components may cause many problems arthritis, kidney stones, and gout. relieving heartburn and other digestive upsets. Juniper berries are also rich in volatile oils, in particular, terpinen-4-ol, believed to increase the rate of kidney filtration. This means our bodies flush bacteria quickly through the kidneys and bladder.  This action is why Juniper is considered exceptionally helpful for the treatment of urinary tract infections.

You can learn a lot about what a plant does by looking at its appearance and where it grows. This is part of the doctrine of signatures herbalists use to identify a plant’s medicinal qualities.

Bapa’s Blend Urinary System Support Tea combines all of these herbs in a masterful ratio to provide optimum support of the urinary tract system and healthy bladder function -  by improving the body's ability to flush toxins, reducing inflammation, and stimulating the kidneys.

This unique blend of organic herbs is great for men or women who experience issues with urinary incontinence, prostate inflammation, fluid retention, and kidney or bladder stones. These herbs may also reduce symptoms of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and provide overall immune support.
